Happy Thursday lovelies! I hope that you all had a wonderful holiday with your loved ones! I know I sure did! If you follow me on Instagram you all know that by far my favorite Christmas presents were a pair of jeans from and other stories and a sweet pair of oxfords from Modcloth. These jeans are the most comfortable pair of jeans I own. The moment I put them on I turned to my husband and told him, “I never knew that they made jeans that could be comfortable for women!” Seriously, you all have got to try the jeans out for yourself! As the temperatures have dropped significantly in Charlotte, today I’ll be sharing a look with all today and telling you all my secret to wearing dresses and staying warm in the Winter.
By now, you guys know that I am obsessed with OTK boots and dresses. It continues to get colder and colder here in Charlotte and now more than ever it’s time for winter dressing! My main dilemma in winter dressing comes when it is so cold out in the mornings but I still want to look cute. I’d love nothing more than to put on all my warmest clothes and just walk out the door looking like a pile of laundry but I just can’t. To remedy this, I stay warm by layering up!
This Eliza J sweater dress is perfect for colder weather since it is so thick. with most sweater dresses I usually find myself layering a thin swing dress underneath it to get another added layer of warmth! Added under my OTK boots, I’ll wear a thick pair of OTK socks which keeps my legs so cozy. On extra cold days, I’ll sometimes add a maxi coat and a pair of leather gloves to complete the look!

I’m in love with this look for the wintertime because it is so chic but so warm. I love looking out together and in the winter usually all I want to do is give up and wear fleece leggings and my husband’s sweaters everywhere so it’s so nice to feel both warm and sophisticated!
With Christmas over we are all looking forward to New Year’s which happens to be my favorite holiday! I love everything about the holiday, the sparkles, the bubbly, ushering in the New Year, and of course creating New Year’s resolutions! This year, my resolution is to pay off all credit card debt which is something that I am positive I can stick with! I was blown away by 2017 and I am so looking forward to the new challenges and new joys that 2018 will bring!
Let me know below what you all thought of this look and feel free to share what your New Year’s resolutions are! Thanks so much for reading and following along my style journey with me, see you all next week!
