Pretty in Pleats // Pleated Skirts Under $100

Happy Thursday, lovelies! We are all almost 2 weeks into the New Year and I’m ever so interested to know who has stuck to their resolutions for this year?! I know me and the hubs have not. Due to some family issues we actually weren’t able to keep true to our goals. However, soon we will be back in our home and back to the regular routine which means we can both get back into the gym and back into changing our eating habits. Yay! Anyways, onto the main event. Today I am bringing you guys a winter look that proves that you can be warm and chic!

I usually hate winter because I get so cold and I’m so often tempted to run out the door in sweats and a pullover just to stay warm. This year though, I’ve been quite good at putting together looks to keep me warm but also put together! Don’t get me wrong, I still walk the dog in a crazy assortment of layers and coats but my #lookoftheday game has much improved!

As I’ve discussed here before, one of my favorite cold weather combinations is an OTK boot under a midi or maxi length hem. It’s a crazy warm look and modest enough for the workplace but it is also so sophisticated looking to me. I love how the boots just peak out a little and the dress or skirt is on full display. This look was such a fun way to bring that pleated skirt into Winter just layer it with some OTK boots and maybe a good thick pair of tights on a cold day and you’re good to go! Scroll through below and take a peek at my favorite pleated skirts good enough for winter all under $100!

I’ve actually had this Lulus pleated skirt in my closet for about a year now and I have never been quite able to figure out what to do with it. Anytime I wore it, it seemed too long on me or too girly for my style. However, once I snagged these Goodnight Macaroon boots I knew they’d work with this pleated skirt. I love the colors of the rich cognac boot and the deep navy of the skirt. So often I wear navy and the color seems to deepen into almost a black but when I paired it with the brown boot and the red sweater the color of the skirt just seemed to pop all the more. I love solid primary colors in the wintertime and this whole look made me feel so put together and downright awesome!
